Meeting Materials

Several kinds of meetings will be held over the course of the US-56 planning process including Public Open Houses, Public Officials Briefing, and Stakeholders Workshops.

Public Open Houses

Two Public Open Houses were held to allow attendees to review the project recommendations to-date and give their input on these elements.

The first Open House was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9 at the Mildale Farm Equestrian Barn (35250 W. 199th Street, Edgerton, Kansas 66021). The second was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11 at the Baldwin City Elementary School-Intermediate Center (100 Bullpup Drive, Baldwin City, Kansas 66006). Identical exhibits were presented at each Open House:

Public Officials Briefing

A Public Officials Briefing was held on January 12, 2010 to keep elected officials and local leaders informed on the project’s progress including corridor recommendations. Workshops

The third and final Workshop—Community Character Assessment—was held January 27, 2010. Click on the link below to view the Slideshow. Exhibits presented at the workshop will be available to view at the Public Open Houses after minor modifications have been made based on Stakeholder input.
